This is Dulcie…..her full name is Dulcie Ravenna Kentucky River Rock Clarkson Ford and she is a warrior woman! She is fearless, strong, wild, smart, gentle, beautiful, and she is the best sister in law. Dulcie grew up in an intentional living community or commune in New Mexico called the Mimbres Hot Springs Ranch which is one of the most special places on earth.
Dulcie now lives with her two kids and husband Charris (Boomer’s brother) in Telluride where they are caretakers for some famous people’s home that I’m not sure I can name. Dulcie has homeschooled her kids most of their lives which takes an enormous amount of diligence, time, patience, and creativity. She herself is an award winning screenwriter. We would like to name this triangle shaped turquoise necklace after Dulcie. Turquoise is perhaps one of the oldest stones in history. It is a stone of strength. One example of Dulcie’s strength which left a lasting impression on me is when she had a motorcycle accident a few years ago which left some scarring on her face. Instead of complaining and wallowing in self pity, she found beauty and acceptance in this scar. That took a strength of character that is like no other woman I know. Turquoise is also a symbol of friendship and it brings peace to the home. She is the sweetest friend and support to her family and friends in the ups and downs of life. In color psychology, turquoise is said to recharge our spirits. Well, Dulcie certainly has the energy, love, kindness, and beauty to recharge anyone’s spirit! Love you and miss you, Dulcie. May we present you with the Dulcie Necklace…
